Jesse Love pulled off a thrilling win in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway. In an overtime finish, with his fuel tank drying up, Love was able to hold off a field of hungry drivers to score his first career win in only his ninth career start.

Following the race, Love’s race-winning No. 2 Whelen Engineering Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet Camaro underwent the rigors of post-race inspection, where it received a passing grade. As a result, NASCAR has officially declared Love and his team the official winners of the race.

No issues were discovered in post-race tech, which means all results and standings following Sunday’s race are now considered official.

NASCAR will take back the No. 8 (JR Motorsports – Sammy Smith) and No. 81 (Joe Gibbs Racing – Chandler Smith) cars back for additional inspection at the NASCAR R&D Center.

Riley Herbst officially came home in the runner-up spot ahead of Anthony Alfredo, Leland Honeyman, and Brennan Poole.
