2003 NASCAR Winston Cup Series Champion, Matt Kenseth, has officially completed the 2022 Boston Marathon.

Kenseth – who was recently added to the NASCAR Hall of Fame’s Class of 2023 Ballot — completed the marathon in three hours, one minute, and 40 seconds, which works out to just under seven minutes per mile (6:56).

The Cambridge, Wisconsin-native’s effort was good enough for 141st in the men’s 50 to 54 division, and 3,576th overall.

Kenseth retired from full-time competition in the NASCAR Cup Series following the 2017 season, then returned for a 15-race schedule with Roush Fenway Racing in 2018.

Two seasons later, Kenseth served as a last-minute replacement for Kyle Larson, after the Chip Ganassi Racing driver was indefinitely suspended for using a racial slur on a live stream in the Spring of 2020.

Kenseth’s NASCAR Cup Series career concluded at the end of 2020, with a stat line that includes 39 victories, 182 top-fives, and 331 top-10s at NASCAR’s top level.
