Kyle Larson Edges Out Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Chase Elliott for Coca-Cola 600 Pole

When it comes to raw speed, Kyle Larson and his No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro has been one of the best this season and Saturday Morning was no exception, with the 28-year-old claiming his ninth career pole in the NASCAR Cup Series, running a lap of 29.953 seconds | 180.282mph.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will join Larson on the front row, with Chase Elliott, William Byron and Kevin Harvick will round out the top-five starters in Sunday’s 600-mile event. Austin Dillon, Alex Bowman, Martin Truex Jr, Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain will round out a Chevrolet-dominated top-10.

Other noteables include: Ryan Blaney (11th), Kurt Busch (12th), Brad Keselowski (13th), Denny Hamlin (14th), Tyler Reddick (15th), Joey Logano (16th), Christopher Bell (17th), Kyle Busch (20th), Cole Custer (23rd), Michael McDowell (24th), Chris Buescher (27th), Aric Almirola (31st).

Every driver that made a qualifying attempt this afternoon posted a lap time within 3.1 seconds of Larson’s fast lap, with David Starr riding shotgun on the field with a 33.071 | 163.285mph.
