Kurt Busch Wins Battle With Brother Kyle Busch For Quaker State 400 Victory

Wow. What a finish to Saturday night’s Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway. Kurt Busch took his first win of the season in an epic last-lap duel with his brother Kyle Busch.

It looked like Joey Logano had secured a win, when all of a sudden Bubba Wallace cut down a tire to spin and bring out a caution with just a few laps to go.

This stacked the field back up for a restart. When the green flag came out, the Busch brothers pounced and put on a hell of a show.

“Hell yeah! Hell yeah!” Busch said when interviewed on the front stretch following the 31st win of his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series career.

Following the two Busch brothers across the line were Erik Jones, Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin, who rebounded from a pit road penalty, rounded out the top-five.

Clint Bowyer finished sixth, Joey Logano faded to seventh, Daniel Suarez ended up eighth, Ryan Newman was ninth and Chris Buescher rounded out the top-10 finishers in Saturday’s race.
