On Wednesday, JR Motorsports announced another addition to its 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver stable, as Jake Finch will pilot the organization’s No. 9 Chevrolet in five races beginning with the event at EchoPark Speedway on July 11.

Finch will return to the car at Darlington Raceway on September 5, Bristol Motor Speedway on September 18, Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 10, and Talladega Superspeedway on October 24.

The 20-year-old racer scored an ARCA Menards Series win at Talladega in 2024, driving for Venturini Motorsports, and won a 2023 ARCA Menards Series East event at Dover Motor Speedway, also driving for the Venturini team.

Last season, Finch got the opportunity of a lifetime behind the wheel of the No. 17 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet as he made his NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut at Dover. In that race, Finch started 21st and finished on the lead lap in the 17th position.

Finch is the son of longtime NASCAR team owner James Finch.

In addition to his two wins in the ARCA ranks, Finch has competed admirably on the regional level and has scored three wins in the Baby Rattler at South Alabama Speedway, and he won the 2024 Lee Fields Memorial at Mobile International Speedway.

Finch has been a standout in Pro Late Model competition and won the championship in the Show Me The Money Pro Late Model Series at Montgomery Motor Speedway in 2024.
