It was a very successful weekend at Michigan International Speedway for Kevin Harvick. The driver of the No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford Mustang took three Stage Wins and he captured the victory in both legs of a NASCAR Cup Series double header at Michigan International Speedway.

Harvick’s latest win, his sixth of 2020, came after a great battle between he and Denny Hamlin. Hamlin closed the gap on Harvick and made a race out of it, but in the final couple of circuits Harvick began to take Hamlin’s line away, which stalled Hamlin out.

In the end, Harvick led a race-high 90 laps.

Behind the duo of Harvick and Hamlin were Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch and Joey Logano in the top-five.

Aric Almirola returned to his top-10 ways as he posted a sixth-place finish after a disappointing run on Saturday, where his team was trying out some new methods in hopes of speed capable of winning.

Matt DiBenedetto was seventh in the Wood Brothers Racing No. 21 car, while Austin Dillon — who started from the rear and served a drive through penalty on the start of the race, rallied to finish eighth.

Chase Elliott and Kurt Busch rounded out the top-10.

The focus with four races remaining until the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs is the cut line, here is how it looks after the Michigan double-header weekend:

14. Clint Bowyer, +60 points
15. Matt DiBenedetto, +57 points
16. William Byron, +26 points

17. Erik Jones, -26 points
18. Jimmie Johnson, -26 points
19. Tyler Reddick, -36 points

While Harvick took another convincing win, two top contenders fell by the wayside on lap 96. Ryan Blaney, who was running in the lead was wiped out when his Team Penske teammate Brad Keselowski lost control of his car in the low lane in turns one and two. Keselowski slammed into Blaney and they both went into the wall.
