Justin Allgaier Keeps Momentum Going, Captures Stage 1 Win Saturday at Richmond

It’s been a strong weekend for the driver of the No. 7 JR Motorsports car Justin Allgaier. Following a Stage 2 win and race win in the GoBowling 250 at Richmond Raceway on Friday, Allgaier took the Stage 1 win of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Virginia is for Racing Lovers 250 at Richmond as well.

On a restart at lap 45, Allgaier got the lead from his teammate Noah Gragson and he never looked back. Allgaier now has 10 Stage Wins in the 2020 season, which ties him for the series lead with Austin Cindric.

His weekend Playoff Point total is already at seven and he has a chance to snag some more.

Gragson held on to finish runner-up.

Kaulig Racing teammates Justin Haley and Ross Chastain, who have showed impeccable speed all weekend, were third and fourth.

Harrison Burton finished fifth.

Michael Annett, Riley Herbst, Jeb Burton, Ryan Sieg and Kaz Grala rounded out the top-10 finishers in Stage 1.
