Well, there will be no clean sweep of the 2020 Coca-Cola 600 for Alex Bowman, as Joey Logano gambled and stayed on the track with old tires on a caution with less than 20 laps to go.
This gave Logano the lead, and he was able to manage to hold off Bowman — the race’s dominant car — for the Stage 3 win.
Ryan Blaney finished the Stage in third, while Jimmie Johnson was fourth.
Martin Truex Jr., who led the most laps in Stage 3, and looked to be in position to win the Stage before the late caution, which gave Logano the track position he needed, ended up fifth.
Kyle Busch, Erik Jones, Brad Keselowski, Austin Dillon and William Byron rounded out the top-10 in Stage 3.
100 laps remain in NASCAR’s longest race of the season.
