Post-race technical inspection following Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway is complete.

Ross Chastain’s race-winning No. 1 Moose Fraternity Chevrolet Camaro has passed all portions of NASCAR’s post-race technical inspection process, meaning he and Trackhouse Racing have been named the race’s official winners.

Sunday’s victory at Talladega Superspeedway marks the second of Chastain’s NASCAR Cup Series career, as well as the second for second-year team Trackhouse Racing, which fields cars for both Chastain and Daniel Suarez.

With no major issues in post-race technical inspection, all results and points provided by NASCAR are now official.

NASCAR has elected to take the cars of Kevin Harvick, Kyle Larson, Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr. and Alex Bowman back to the wind tunnel and NASCAR R&D Center for further inspection.

Live Fast Motorsports – fielding the No. 78 Ford Mustang driven by BJ McLeod — had a right-rear wheel become detached during the event, which will result in further penalties from NASCAR later in the week.
