As each week passes, Harrison Burton keeps racing more and more like his father Jeff, sneaking into the top-five late in the race to capitalize on a late race restart en route to victory.
A late-race caution for a spin by Ryan Sieg, erased an eleven second lead for the dominant car of the afternoon, Noah Gragson, who would finish in third, being bested by Austin Cindric and Harrison Burton on the restart with two laps to go.
Cindric, Burton & Gragson would battle hard for the win in the closing laps, highlighted by a three wide battle between the three young drivers coming to one lap to go, with Burton’s No. 20 edging out the other two for the victory.
Austin Cindric, Noah Gragson, Anthony Alfredo and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. rounded out the top-five finishers.
Chase Briscoe, who lost a spacer from his No. 98 on the pace laps, rebounded from six laps behind to finish on the lead lap in 7th.
Provided there are no post-race inspection issues, Myatt Snider and Brandon Brown will start on the front row for Tomorrow’s Contender Boats 250, after finishing 14th and 15th in today’s race.
The race featured six leaders and eighteen lead changes, the most lead changes in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway since 2016.
