BJ McLeod and Live Fast Motorsports will have a fresh new look on their No. 78 Ford Mustang during this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as FilterTime will join the team as a primary sponsor.
FilterTime, which is an air filter subscription service owned by Blake Koch and Dale Earnhardt Jr., will being their company’s bold blue and white colors to the car this weekend.
While FilterTime has served as a sponsor for drivers in other NASCAR Series in the past, Koch, a former NASCAR racer himself, is proud to be sponsoring a car at the NASCAR Cup Series level.
“FilterTime is excited to partner with Live Fast Motorsports,” said Blake Koch, founder and co-owner of FilterTime. “It is a dream come true to see FilterTime on a Cup car and this is a huge opportunity for us to be in front of all the loyal NASCAR fans on Sunday. We are proud that LFM co-owner, Matt Tifft, and NASCAR Cup series driver, B.J. McLeod, and their team use, trust and advocate for our products.”
For Live Fast Motorsports co-owner Matt Tifft, the sponsorship reunites him with his former driving coach, Koch.
“I have had the honor of working with FilterTime for years now,” said Tifft in a team release. “Co-owner, Blake Koch, used to be my NASCAR driving coach and he accurately represents the entire FilterTime team when I describe the company as quality, trustworthy and reliable. Which is important when it comes to the air you breathe. Our team is happy to partner with FilterTime for this year’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.”
Live Fast Motorsports, in their second year of being a NASCAR Cup Series team, are looking to take a step forward. McLeod has finished inside the top-30 in both NASCAR Cup Series events so far this season, and he even finished on the lead lap with an impressive 22nd-place run at Auto Club Speedway last weekend in the Wise Power 400.
Live Fast Motorsports scored a total of eight lead lap finishes in 2021, so, they are off to a good start in surpassing that number this year.
