One of the most iconic organizations in all of motorsports, Team Penske, has extended its partnership with long-time supporter Discount Tire, the organization confirmed in an announcement on Wednesday.

The expanded terms of the partnership agreement will keep Discount Tire, the leading tire and wheel retailer in the United States, as a major sponsor of the Team Penske organization, as it has been for nearly two decades.

Discount Tire will continue to serve as a major primary sponsor for Austin Cindric and the No. 2 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the NASCAR Cup Series, beginning with the season-opening DAYTONA 500, an event Cindric won in his rookie year in 2022.

The company will also continue to sponsor 2023 NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney in select events throughout the year, driving the No. 12 Ford Mustang Dark Horse. New for 2026, though, is the company’s sponsorship of three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano in a single event, driving the No. 22 Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

“Our partnership with Roger Penske and everyone at Team Penske is defined by a culture of winning and truly making dreams come true,” said Michael Zuieback, Executive Chairman at Discount Tire. “We look forward to celebrating many more victories on the track and activating our partnership in meaningful ways for our people, our customers, and all racing fans.”

Team Penske has managed to secure five NASCAR Cup Series championships – including three consecutive titles from 2022 to 2024 – during Discount Tire’s time as a major partner of the organization. In 2022, the brand was the primary sponsor for the DAYTONA 500-winning car, courtesy of Austin Cindric.

“We are proud of Team Penske’s long-standing partnership with Discount Tire and the success we have had together, including multiple championships and a victory in the DAYTONA 500,” said Roger Penske, owner of Team Penske. “Our companies share many of the same core values, and this is a partnership that continues to deliver, both on and off the racetrack. We are excited to build on our success together now and into the future.”

The partnership between Team Penske and Discount Tire has been one of the most successful in NASCAR, collecting 38 victories across the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, with 12 total championships.

In addition to Discount Tire’s involvement in Penske’s NASCAR program, Discount Tire and Tire Rack will return as associate sponsors for the team’s NTT IndyCar Series program with drivers Josef Newgarden (No. 2), Scott McLaughlin (No. 3), and David Malukas (No. 12).

Discount Tire’s primary sponsorship events for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series campaign include the DAYTONA 500, COTA, Las Vegas, Darlington, Bristol, Kansas, Texas, Michigan, Sonoma, Indianapolis, Phoenix, Charlotte, Martinsville, and Homestead.

The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series campaign will begin with Discount Tire showcased on the No. 2 Ford Mustang in the DAYTONA 500. The race begins at 2:30 PM ET on Sunday, February 15 live on FOX, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
