NASCAR Cup Series regular John Hunter Nemechek is making a special appearance in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this February, joining forces with Halmar Friesen Racing for the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.

The Mooresville, North Carolina-native will get behind the wheel of the No. 62 DriveValue.com Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for the February 13 event, marking the beginning of HFR’s first season fielding two full-time entries.

DriveValue.com will serve as the featured sponsor of Nemechek’s entry at Daytona. A current partner of LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, the company is an education platform from the Exit Planning Institute focused on helping business owners and leadership teams grow enterprise value, align personal, business, and financial goals, and prepare for long-term success.

“I’m really excited to get back behind the wheel in the Truck Series, especially at a place like Daytona,” said Nemechek. “I’m extremely grateful to Halmar Friesen Racing and Stewart [Friesen] for the opportunity to drive the No. 62 Toyota. Daytona is such a special track, and any time you get the chance to compete there, it means a lot. I’m looking forward to making the most of this opportunity and having a strong run with the support of HFR and DriveValue.com.”

Nemechek has spent the last decade jumping between NASCAR’s National Series, where he’s earned 13 Truck Series and 11 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series wins. Currently, the son of 1992 NASCAR Busch Series champion Joe Nemechek competes in the NASCAR Cup Series for LEGACY MOTOR CLUB.

“I speak for everyone at [Halmar Friesen Racing] by saying how pumped we are to have John Hunter [Nemechek] kick off our first season as a full-time two-truck team at Daytona,” said Stewart Friesen, co-owner of Halmar Friesen Racing. “His track record and experience speaks for itself, and we all know he will do a great job competing for a win in the biggest race of the year. We also welcome the DriveValue.com team to the Craftsman Truck Series and are thankful for their support of John Hunter at the World Center of Racing.”

Nemechek is the first driver to be announced as part of Halmar Friesen Racing’s No. 62 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro program, which is scheduled to feature multiple drivers throughout the season.

The Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona will begin the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign on Friday, February 13 at 7:30 PM ET on FOX Sports 1, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, and the NASCAR Racing Network.
