Heading into the final lap of Stage 2 in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Joey Logano was in a position to potentially win the stage. However, after a block from his Team Penske teammate Austin Cindric killed his momentum, Logano dropped like a rock.
As he got stuck in the dirty air, his No. 22 car got super tight, and he slammed into Chris Buescher’s No. 17 Ford Mustang. Both cars went into the outside wall, and Denny Hamlin was collected in the crash as well.
Logano, who suffered flat tires in the incident, got stuck on the rub blocks of his car, and had to get towed back to pit road.
