Video: Kyle Busch Spins From Lead at Kansas Trying to Lap Briscoe

What a heartbreaking moment for Kyle Busch. The Richard Childress Racing driver, who failed to make the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, and has had a couple of close calls at race wins this season, but has yet to win this year, spun from the race lead late in Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Busch was attempting to lap NASCAR Cup Series Playoff contender Chase Briscoe, who was running in the 26th position, but as Busch went high, he skidded into the outside wall in Turn 2, and as he attempted to hold onto the car down the backstretch, Busch lost control and spun from the race lead.

After the spin, Busch dropped to eighth in the running order, and he came off of pit road in the seventh position under the caution. Busch will still have a chance to rally for the win, but with 29 laps remaining, it looks highly unlikely he’ll be able to get there in time.
