Video: Kyle Busch Spins at Beginning of Final Stage at Phoenix

It has been a day to forget for Kyle Busch in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Shriners Children’s 500 at Phoenix Raceway. The day got even worse on Lap 196 as Busch went for a spin on the restart to open the final Stage of the race.

It looked like heading through Turn 2, Busch got loose, and chased his car up the track. Zane Smith attempted to avoid Busch, but made contact with the back of the No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which sent Busch into Kaz Grala.

Busch then went spinning, but fortunately, he was able to avoid major damage.

The weekend started off rough for Busch, who qualified 31st for the race, and he had been unable to make up much ground throughout the opening two Stages of the race. Busch will attempt to rally in an effort to salvage a finish of some kind.
