Video: Joey Logano Makes Aggressive Last-Lap Block on Chris Buescher, Crashes into Outside Wall

Joey Logano is – and always has been – an aggressive superspeedway racer, and potential inventory issues and car shortages didn’t stop the NASCAR Cup Series champion from fighting for the victory, even in a non-points event.

On the final lap of the second Bluegreen Vacations Duel, Logano made an aggressive block on Chris Buescher, making contact with the No. 17 Ford Mustang and sending his Ford Mustang into the outside wall.

Harrison Burton – Logano’s defacto teammate — was also collected in the calamity of the accident, sustaining front-end damage to his No. 21 Motorcraft / Quick Lane Ford Mustang.

Buescher was declared the winner, while Burton went on to finish in third, with Logano’s damaged No. 22 Ford Mustang being relegated to ninth.

Following the accident, Logano was checked and released from the infield care center, where he was interviewed by FOX Sports’ Jamie Little. Logano took the blame for the accident, saying that he just “made a mistake” and he didn’t know the run from Buescher was going to come that fast.

Logano is expected to go to a backup car for Sunday’s Daytona 500.
