Video: Jimmie Johnson Done for Day After Multi-Car Crash With Hill and LaJoie

Jimmie Johnson’s fourth NASCAR Cup Series start of the 2024 season came to an early end as he was involved in a multi-car crash on Lap 176 in Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Johnson saw smoke ahead of him, and opted to let off the gas. LaJoie couldn’t react in time and made contact, which sent Johnson into the wall. LaJoie would also spin and collide with the wall and Austin Hill had nowhere to go and was involved as well.

Here is a look at the incident from LaJoie’s in-car camera:

The driver of the No. 84 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Toyota will be credited with a last-place finish (38th).
