Chase Briscoe seemingly had Sunday’s Ruoff Mortgage 500 at Phoenix Raceway won, but with nine laps to go, the driver of the No. 9 car — Chase Elliott — went for a spin on the backstretch to bring out the caution.
Elliott fortunately avoided damage, but he did fall outside the top-10.

While Elliott was fortunate to avoid damage, Briscoe was also fortunate that his No. 14 car stayed good and he was able to hold on for his first-career NASCAR Cup Series win.
