Video: Broken Suspension Piece Sends Reddick Spinning, Multi-Car Crash Ensues

Tyler Reddick crash Daytona 2022
A piece of Tyler Reddick’s suspension broke causing his car to spin in the middle of the lead pack with 50 laps to go at Daytona.

While running toward the front in the lead pack with 50 laps to go in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Daytona 500, a piece of the suspension on Tyler Reddick’s No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet broke, which caused Reddick’s car to turn sideways.

As Reddick would spin, and somehow Jacques Villeneuve was able to get stopped enough to not destroy his car, but Martin Truex Jr., who won Stages 1 and 2 earlier in the race, wasn’t so fortunate as he went into Reddick’s car pretty hard.

Here is video of the incident as it happened on the FOX broadcast.

In all, six cars were involved. Those who had a piece of the accident included: Reddick, Villeneuve, Truex, Joey Logano, Kurt Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
