Video: Another Big Crash Sends Ally 400 into Triple Overtime

Welp, we’re on to Overtime finish attempt No. 3. Denny Hamlin got an incredible restart, and looked to be heading to his fourth win of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, but if he does go on to win, he’ll have to endure one more Overtime finish as a big crash erupted on the backstretch behind them with two laps to go.

The crash started as Carson Hocevar got stalled out in the middle of a four-wide battle. As Hocevar slowed, Harrison Burton made contact with Justin Haley, which sent Haley into the right rear quarterpanel of Corey Heim’s No. 50 23XI Racing Toyota Camry XSE.

Heim would spin into the outside wall, and more cars would pile in on the infield grass.

In all, eight cars were involved in this crash including Josh Berry, Ryan Blaney, Harrison Burton, Todd Gilliland, Ryan Preece, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Corey Heim, and Justin Haley.
