As long as there has been a NASCAR, the athletes that sit behind the wheel of the most powerful stock cars in the world have proven to be among the most generous athletes in all the sports world. Joey Logano is continuing that trend during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Logano’s foundation — The Joey Logano Foundation — has teamed with Elevation Outreach to provide a $1-million response and recovery fund for those suffering during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Logano announced the fund through a post on social media on Tuesday.

“Right now, the world is experiencing a situation like we’ve never seen before,” Logano said in a Foundation press release. “I’ve been blessed to have the ability to help others with our platform and for the past few weeks, the Joey Logano Foundation has been able to help In multiple ways on the local level. However, Brittany and I knew we could do more and felt a huge calling to give on a larger capacity at a state wide and national level.”
