Report: Stewart-Haas Racing Driver/Sponsor Lineup Could be Very Different in 2020

Stewart-Haas Racing has been one of the most dominant teams in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series for the past several seasons, in fact, a year ago, all four of their teams won races.

However, 14 races into 2019, none of the four teams have found victory lane. And now a report from Sport Business Journal’s Adam Stern explains that the team will have a lot of work to do in the offseason if they want to retain their current driver lineup and sponsors.

The only driver who appears a safe lock to return for 2020 is 2014 Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick. The remaining drivers have their contracts set to expire at the end of the season, or major sponsorship partners with contracts that are set to end at the conclusion of the season.

Now, this doesn’t mean anyone has been sent packing, but it will be a challenge to bring back all three (Clint Bowyer, Aric Almirola and Daniel Suarez).
