NASCAR is expected to announce changes to their 2020 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series schedule and according to the President of the Sanctioning body — Steve Phelps — everything is on the table.

However, as Jenna Fryer of the AP explains in a terrific new column, not EVERYTHING will truly be on the table — at least for 2020.

NASCAR has contracts in place with all of the current race tracks on the schedule until at least the conclusion of next season. This essentially means any pipe dream of seeing Nashville, Rockingham, or even the more far-fetched North Wilkesboro on the schedule will have to wait another year.

However, to see what rumors and ideas are floating out there about the 2020 schedule, give Jenna Fryer’s column a read by clicking here.
