Matt DiBenedetto Unveils Procore Darrell Waltrip Tribute Scheme For Sonoma

Darrell Waltrip should be feeling the love when he calls his final race for FOX Sports in Sunday’s Toyota Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. Three cars in the field — Ricky Stenhouse’s No. 17, David Ragan’s No. 38 and Matt DiBenedetto’s No. 95 — will pay homage to iconic cars that Waltrip drove over the course of his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series career.

DiBenedetto unveiled his scheme on Wednesday’s edition of NASCAR RaceHub on FS1.

The No. 95 car will look just like the orange, white and blue No. 95 car that Waltrip drove in 1973 and 1974 in NASCAR’s premier series. Waltrip ran the same scheme with the No. 17 in 1975.

Stenhouse will drive the iconic Western Auto scheme that Waltrip drove from 1991 to 1995. While Ragan will drive a car mimicking Waltrip’s chrome car from 1997 (although chrome paint is no longer permitted in NASCAR so the car will be white).
