On Wednesday, Team Penske officially announced their 2022 NASCAR Cup Series crew chief lineup, which is set to now include Jonathan Hassler, who has been working with Matt DiBenedetto and the No. 21 team since the midpoint of the season.

Jeremy Bullins will continue his role with Team Penske’s No. 2 Ford Mustang but will be working with 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Austin Cindric as he transitions into the NASCAR Cup Series full-time in 2022. While Bullins and Cindric have only worked together on one occasion in 2018, the Walnut Cove, North Carolina-native has scored eight victories as a crew chief in the NASCAR Cup Series, most recently with Brad Keselowski at Talladega Superspeedway.

2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship-winning crew chief Paul Wolfe will continue to call the shots on the No. 22 Ford Mustang with Joey Logano, a partnership which has provided four victories for Team Penske over the last two seasons. Since joining Team Penske in 2011, Wolfe has amassed 33 victories in the NASCAR Cup Series, most of which have been with Brad Keselowski.

Finally, moving over from his role of interim crew chief at Wood Brothers Racing is Jonathan Hassler, who will be working with Ryan Blaney next season as crew chief of the No. 12 Ford Mustang. While Hassler has yet to capture his first victory as a crew chief at NASCAR’s top-level, there has been an impressive shift in momentum for Wood Brothers Racing and driver Matt DiBenedetto since Hassler took over crew chief duties, collecting one top-five and five top-10 finishes in 15 races

Wood Brothers Racing – who had Jonathan Hassler on the pit box for the No. 21 team — has yet to officially announce a replacement and the crew chief that will be working with first-year driver Harrison Burton in 2022.
