Michael McDowell will have a familiar partner on board his No. 71 Chevrolet in his first season with Spire Motorsports as B’laster Holdings, who supported the 40-year-old racer a season ago, will serve as a two-race primary sponsorship partner in 2025.

B’laster’s red, orange, yellow, and black colors will adorn McDowell’s No. 71 machine in the Spring race at Talladega Superspeedway as well as the inaugural NASCAR Cup Series event at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.

“I’m thrilled to have the B’laster team join me at Spire Motorsports in 2025,” said McDowell. “B’laster was with me last year and I am thankful to have them partner with our No. 71 team. B’laster is so important to both the automotive and powersports spaces and their products are second to none. I hope I can take the B’laster colors to victory lane and make the most of our partnership.”

In addition to the two-race primary sponsorship commitment, B’laster will also serve as an associate sponsorship partner for McDowell and the No. 71 team during the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.

McDowell, a two-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner, scored six pole positions last season in his final campaign with Front Row Motorsports. B’laster says it is elated to join McDowell, who continues his journey for a third NASCAR Cup Series win in 2025.

“B’laster and NASCAR go hand-in-hand,” said B’laster Products President & CEO, Randy Pindor. “It was a no-brainer for us that we wanted to continue to have a presence in the Cup Series,” he said. “Michael McDowell really made some waves in the 2024 season, and we are excited to be able to continue working with him and the Spire Motorsports team for 2025.”

On May 8, McDowell announced that he would depart Front Row Motorsports at season’s end to pursue a multiyear driving agreement with Spire Motorsports beginning in 2025.

Travis Peterson, McDowell’s crew chief at Front Row Motorsports, announced on August 6 that he would join McDowell as the crew chief of the No. 71 team.
