For the second time in as many races, Colby Howard will partner with Codie Rohrbaugh and CR7 Motorsports to pilot the No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado in Thursday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series UNOH 200 Presented by Ohio Logistics at Bristol Motor Speedway, according to NASCAR’s Team Roster Portal.

The Simpsonville, South Carolina-native has had an eventful couple of weeks across NASCAR’s top-three series, first piloting the No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado at Darlington Raceway two weeks ago, and brought the truck home with a career-best 13th-place finish after an early-race spin/slide.

The following week, Howard announced that he would be running full-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series next season, piloting a second entry for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.

Just one day later – in what howard says was just “coincidental timing” — it was revealed that Howard would not be returning to JD Motorsports for the remainder of the season, the NASCAR Xfinity Series organization he’s called home for the last two seasons.

In 21 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts with JD Motorsports in 2021, Howard recorded a best finish of 16th, which came at Phoenix Raceway in the spring.

The 19-year old driver has competed in a total of 46 NASCAR National Series races heading into this weekend. Howard also has four ARCA Menards Series starts and three CARS Late Model Tour starts on his resume.

Now, it appears Howard is moving on by preparing for his full-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season in 2022 by getting some more seat time behind the wheel of a truck.
