Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona Will be Rain Delayed

UPDATE 8:15 PM ET – The rain has just become too much and the storms to the south of the speedway are still threatening. As a result, NASCAR has postponed the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona until 1 PM ET on Sunday. The race will be aired on NBC and is also on the NBC Sports App.

UPDATE 7:50 PM ET – It is still raining at Daytona, but Brian Neudorff (@NASCAR_WXman) posted a short video of his radar which shows that rain is definitely starting to lighten up and he is still hopeful that the storms will continue dissipating as we go later into the night.

Although, things are looking good, Neudorff is still concerned with the storms that are sitting to the south of the speedway.


Storms are sweeping through Daytona International Speedway and as a result, the Coke Zero Sugar 400 will not be starting on time tonight.

According to Brian Neudorff (@NASCAR_WXman), the storms could begin dissipating around 8 PM ET.

If the race tonight is rained out, the plan is for a green flag Sunday at 1 PM ET.
