GMS Racing’s Tyler Ankrum will bring an incredibly bold No. 26 Silverado when he joins the rest of the Camping World Truck Series field in NASCAR’s inaugural weekend at Circuit Of The Americas this weekend.
Circle B Diecast, the popular online retailer for die-cast and NASCAR merchandise, will serve as the primary sponsor for the California driver in Saturday’s Toyota Tundra 225.
“Man, we’ll be rockin’ some funky colors this weekend at COTA to commemorate NASCAR’s debut at the historic track, thanks to Circle B Diecast,” said Ankrum. “Brent (Powell, Circle B Diecast) allows us to have a lot of fun with the designs, and this bright blue, purple and yellow scheme may be one of my favorites. It’s always an honor to be behind the wheel of one of his designs.”
Circle B Diecast has appeared on a number of trucks already in 2021, with a few races tied to the fellow Chevrolet camp of NIECE Motorsports. Circle B, alongside Plan B Sales, have been appearing consistently on not only Truck Series entries, but Xfinity and Cup as well.

“I’ve been involved in racing a long time and seeing one of these Circle B Diecast paint schemes come to life, never disappoints,” said Brent Powell of Circle B Diecast. “This is a big weekend for NASCAR, making their debut at COTA, so a bold paint scheme was a must and the bright colors will not only stand out on the race track Saturday, but they’ll also pop on the shelves. I look forward to cheering on Tyler in his CircleBDiecast.com Silverado Saturday afternoon.”
The sophisticated design was crafted by Dick Claveloux, the Graphics Productions Manager for GMS Racing. He’s been responsible for a number of paint schemes for the entire GMS fleet in 2021, most notably Sheldon Creed’s winning throwback for Darlington.
“It’s always an honor to get a request from Brent (Powell) at Circle B Diecast,” Claveloux said. ” Every request presents a new challenge and this one was meant to stand out amongst the crowd. This leads to rad color contrast with bold new numbers to match, so it’ll be the first diecast you spot on the shelf.”
NASCAR’s 2021 schedule shakeup includes a number of road courses being added to the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck schedule including Road America, and COTA this weekend. First visits to road courses can be a blessing for the GMS driver. He scored a sixth-place finish when the Truck Series made their debut on the Daytona road course last season.
“I’m really looking forward to NASCAR’s debut at COTA (Circuit of the Americas) this weekend,” Ankrum said. “It’s a 3.41-mile, 20-turn road course in Austin, Texas with crazy elevation changes, and the backstretch spans about 1000 feet – it’s far. I walked the entire track when we tested there and man, it’s gonna be both fun and challenging. Having the knowledge and experience from the test coupled with the one-hour practice and qualifying we’ll get prior to the race, gives me confidence going into the weekend and that’s a game-changer.”
Fans can see the No. 26 Circle B Diecast Silverado hit the track on Saturday, May 22nd at 1 PM EST on FOX Sports 1 and the FOX Sports app.
