If I were a betting man — NASCAR was in Las Vegas Motor Speedway — I think the odds of the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship going through Chase Briscoe would be pretty solid.

On Sunday, in the rain-delayed NASCAR Xfinity Series Boyd Gaming 300, Briscoe led a race-high 89 laps and pulled away from Austin Cindric and Ryan Sieg over the final Stage of the race to capture his first victory of the season.

This marks Briscoe’s third-career NASCAR Xfinity Series victory, and with the big three from a season ago (Tyler Reddick, Christopher Bell and Cole Custer) now in the NASCAR Cup Series, many have expected Briscoe to assert himself as a Championship favorite.

Austin Cindric finished second, but one of the biggest surprises of the night was Ryan Sieg in third.

The underdog driver had without a doubt the best race of his NASCAR Xfinity Series career on Sunday.

Noah Gragson was fourth, after a controversial moment with Myatt Snider in the late stages of the race, where it appeared he intentionally spun Snider.

Harrison Burton ended up fifth.

Brandon Jones, Michael Annett, Justin Allgaier, Riley Herbst and Ross Chastain rounded out the top-10 in Sunday’s race.
