Monday Night at the 2022 Chili Bowl Nationals proved to be a good night for guys named Chase, with 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of The Year Chase Briscoe, picking up a victory in the first qualifier of the evening.

The Stewart-Haas Racing driver started the qualifier in third place, allowing himself to pick up an additional 110 passing points in the qualifier, putting him in a solid position to earn a solid starting spot in tonight’s A-Main.

Chase Johnson finished second, Sean McLelland was third, with Gavan Boschee and Nick Hoffman rounding out the top-five. Mike Snider, Kade Morton, Justin Melton, Kory Schudy, and Michael Magic rounded out the finishing results in Monday’s first qualifier.

Briscoe’s No. 5 entry carries a brand-new sponsor for the Indiana-born driver, in the form of Mahindra Tractors, which will also serve as an anchor partner of Briscoe’s efforts in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2022.
