NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Jack Wood is confirmed to be back in action for this weekend’s event at Darlington Raceway, after missing the series’ last race for an injury sustained at Watkins Glen International.

The Loomis, California-native will return to the driver’s seat of the No. 91 Adaptive One Calipers Chevrolet Silverado RST in Saturday’s Sober or Slammer 200 at the historic 1.366-mile racetrack.

“Jack Wood, driver of the No. 91 Adaptive One Chevrolet Silverado RST, is ready for redemption at Darlington Raceway this weekend after a series of unfortunate events occurred for the No. 91 team at Watkins Glen, ending with a blown left-front tire that sent the young driver ping-ponging inside the esses and ultimately ending the day early.”

Wood was then ruled out of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular-season finale at Richmond Raceway, due to injuries he sustained in the wreck, and the No. 91 Chevrolet Silverado was withdrawn from the race.

“Wood took a hard hit and has been going through extensive care measures followed by a week off to make sure he is ready to roll this weekend in Darlington.”

The 25-year-old driver is contesting his first full-time campaign in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2025, joining the four-truck effort from McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.

Entering Darlington, the start of the NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs, Jack Wood currently sits 19th in series point standings, with a single top-five on the season — a career-best seventh-place finish at Rockingham Speedway in April.

In 78 starts at the Truck Series level, for various teams including GMS Racing, Kyle Busch Motorsports, and now McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, Wood has scored four top-10 finishes.

McAnally-Hilgemann Racing did not disclose the injury that Wood sustained in the accident at Watkins Glen International.

The Sober or Slammer 200 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 30, at Noon ET. Coverage of the event will be on FOX Sports 1, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
