The 2019 season will have a different feel for the 2012 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion, Brad Keselowski. Sure, he’ll be behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang, which is a change in body from the long-used Fusion, but there will be more than aesthetics that will be changing for the 34-year-old driver.

For the first time since 2006, Keselowski will have a new voice in his ear guiding him through the chaos, carnage and absolute unpredictability of the NASCAR circuit. This past November, long-time Keselowski spotter Joey Meier announced on Twitter that his time spotting in NASCAR was over.

Meier helped guide Keselowski to that magical championship season in 2012, as well as all 27 of the Michigan native’s Cup Series victories.

In a newsletter to Keselowski fans on Friday, it was revealed that Coleman Pressley will be the new spotter for the No. 2 team in 2019.

Pressley, the son of long-time NASCAR driver Robert Pressley, has been spotting for the No. 47 team at JTG/Daugherty Racing for the last few seasons.

Of course, Pressley is a former driver in his own right. Among the driving accolades for the 30-year-old are the 2010 USAR driver championship. He also competed in 12 NASCAR Xfinity Series races with a best finish of 12th in Nashville in 2010.

Now, Pressley will attempt to pick up where Meier left off as one of the best spotters in the garage area.
