It’s been almost six years since Boris Said competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series – when piloting the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 54, in what at the time was thought to be his final NASCAR start. However, according to the entry list for Saturday’s Pit Boss 250 at Circuit of The Americas, Said will ride again, this time with Carl Long’s MBM Motorsports in the No. 13 Toyota Supra.

A winner in both the NASCAR Xfinity Series (2010) and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (1998), Said has enjoyed a fruitful career in NASCAR’s top-three series, earning a combined 15 top-fives and 26 top-10s in 147 starts.

While the NASCAR Xfinity Series – or any of NASCAR’s top-three series for that matter – have never visited the Austin, Texas road course, Said’s immense road course experience, both at COTA and in general, should help lift the No. 13 team out of a dire points situation going forward.

TobyChristie.com has reached out to Carl Long – owner of MBM Motorsports — for comment and confirmation, but has received no response at the time of publishing.
