Austin Wayne Self was suspended from NASCAR on April 1st following a failed drug test. However, Self cooperated and entered NASCAR’s Road to Recovery Program and less than a month later he has reemerged and is ready to jump start his NASCAR career.
Following the news that he had been reinstated by the sanctioning body, Self tweeted his gratitude for those who believed in him even during his lowest point.
Hey guys – Thank you all so much for your continued support, encouragement, and prayers through this difficult season of my life.
Truly am looking forward to being back at home in the truck this weekend alongside my crew working hard to secure a great finish. ??
