Hattori Racing Enterprises – a single-truck organization in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series — will continue their presence in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the third consecutive season, announcing on Tuesday that the team will field the No. 61 Toyota Supra in a half-dozen races for Austin Hill.
Hill’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series outing of the season will come in Saturday’s Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway, with the organization entering their Toyota Supra in five additional events at, Pocono (June 27), Indy’s Road Course (August 14), Michigan (August 21), Charlotte’s “ROVAL” (October 9) and Texas (October 16).
Both AISIN and Toyota Tsusho – long-time sponsors of Hattori Racing Enterprises’ racing efforts — will return as the presenting sponsor of the team’s NASCAR Xfinity Series entry. Nashville will mark the first of four events for sponsor AISIN aboard the No. 61, while Toyota Tsusho will adorn the entry in two events, including Pocono, where the company will also sponsor Hill’s No. 16 truck.
“I’ve really enjoyed the chance to run our Supras in the Xfinity Series the last couple years”, Hill said. “It’s awesome to have these opportunities thanks to everyone at AISIN, Toyota Tsusho, and Toyota. We have a lot of great partners that help support us and everyone at HRE has been working hard on developing our program in the Xfinity Series. We had a couple really strong runs last season, and I can’t wait to build on that at Nashville this weekend.”
Since 2019, Hill has contested 10 NASCAR Xfinity Series events for the organization, picking up a single top-five result at Kansas last Fall, with an additional two top-10 runs coming at Indianapolis and Darlington.
“We are so excited to be able to compete in the Xfinity Series again this year”, Hattori said. “AISIN and Toyota Tsusho have been great partners of our team for a long time and to be able to continue our relationship in the Xfinity Series is a big help to our organization.”
In the races that HRE chooses to skip, Carl Long and MBM Motorsports will continue to field the entry under the HRE banner, like the team has done throughout the first portion of the season. Chad Finchum, Matt Jaskol, Stephen Leicht, Robby Lyons and David Starr have all participated in an event behind the wheel of the No. 61 Toyota Supra, placing the entry 36th in NASCAR Xfinity Series Owner Points.
