Austin Cindric has come alive over the last six races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Including Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series UNOH 188 at the Daytona International Speedway Road Course, Cindric has five wins over that span.

Cindric, who won Stage 1 and was narrowly edged in Stage 2 by Chase Briscoe, led 21 laps on the day in yet another dominating performance.

“That’s five wins on the year, obviously, that’s back to back,” Cindric said. “I didn’t feel like I drove my best today, but we executed at the end when it counts. But that’s what makes these races so difficult to win.”

Brandon Jones avoided late race chaos to finish runner-up, while Noah Gragson, AJ Allmendinger and Andy Lally capped of the top-five finishers.

Jeremy Clements, who is trying to squeeze his way into the 2020 NXS Playoffs, was sixth.

Riley Herbst, who was involved in four incidents in the event, rallied to finish seventh.

Harrison Burton, Justin Allgaier and Myatt Snider rounded out the top-10 finishers in this race.

Allgaier had been running in top-five position late in the race when he was spun by Allmendinger. After the race, Allgaier walked up to show his displeasure to his competitor.

Briscoe, who led a race-high 26 laps, was wiped out in a lap 44 crash.

The UNOH 188 was a wild slug-fest at a track layout that is new to the NASCAR National Series ranks.
