Nutrien Ag Solutions, who was confirmed to be leaving Kaulig Racing following the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, will apparently return to the organization’s program in 2022, the team announced on Thursday,

As initially reported by Jenna Fryer in September, Kaulig Racing and Nutrien Ag Solutions were on the same page, as far as the company not extending their partnership into the 2022 season.

The substantial withdrawal of funding was a significant factor in ensuring that Jeb Burton’s seat in the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro became vacant at the season’s end, with Landon Cassill taking over the ride with sponsorship from Voyager.

Burton, on the other hand, was forced to take what sponsorship he did have and try to find another organization, landing in a third entry, No. 27, for Our Motorsports full-time in 2022.

About a week after the initial reports, Chris Rice confirmed to Daniel McFadin that the company would not renew its agreement with Kaulig Racing, and in fact, would be leaving NASCAR completely.

“They’re not leaving any performance reasons, not leaving for money reasons,” Rice said. “They’re just getting out of the sport, completely out of NASCAR. So maybe one day, we would get them all back and get that group of people back and I know we will. But they’ll come back. It’s just a matter of time.”

It appears that ‘one day’ is going to be on February 19, as the company will return to adorn the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opener at Daytona. Kaulig Racing had not confirmed the capacity in which the company will return at the time of publishing.
