Video: Amber Balcaen, Takuma Koga Involved in Heavy Accident at Irwindale

It will be an early end to the evening for Amber Balcaen, Bridget Burgess and Takuma Koga, after a massive wreck in turns three and four in Saturday Night’s ARCA Menards Series West event at Irwindale Speedway.

Balcaen – who was maing her ARCA Menards Series West debut for Bill McAnally Racing — got her No. 19 ICON Direct Toyota Camry into the outside wall in turn four, spinning down the track and into the path of Takuma Koga’s Jerry Pitts Racing No. 7 Ford Fusion. Bridget Burgess spun around in the aftermath of the event, backing into the inside wall.

Both the No. 19 and No. 7 would be forced to retire from the event, while Burgess’ No. 88 would be able to return to the track with some damage.
