The NASCAR Pinty’s Series will embark on a record-setting 14-race schedule in 2023, spanning from May to September, and including events at 11 different facilities, in five different provinces.
For the fourth consecutive season, the NASCAR Pinty’s Series will contest its season-opener at Sunset Speedway in Innisfil, Ontario (May 13), while the series will crown a champion at Delaware Speedway in the Fall (September 26).
As expected, Canadian Tire Motorsports park will retain its two NASCAR Pinty’s Series dates in 2023, serving as the first road course event of the season (May 21), and the penultimate event of the season (September 3).
The province of Quebec will host three NASCAR Pinty’s Series events in 2023, the first of which will take place at Autodrome Chaudiere (June 10). The series will travel to Quebec again in August, for races at Trois-Rivieres (August 5) and Circuit ICAR (August 26).
Another popular venue, Eastbound International Speedway, will return to the NASCAR Pinty’s Series schedule, as the series returns to Newfoundland and Labrador for the second straight season on June 24.
With the overwhelming success of the series’ inaugural dirt event at Ohsweken Speedway last season, the Ontario-based dirt track will host two events in 2023, hosting a doubleheader on Monday, August 14, and Tuesday, August 15.
“The NASCAR Pinty’s Series has delivered great racing and exciting events across Canada for 16 years and next season will be our best one yet,” said Tony Spiteri, General Manager, NASCAR Canada. “Last year was an overwhelming success for everybody associated with the Pinty’s Series with increased interest from fans, competitors, and potential partners. The 2023 schedule will continue to deliver the thrilling side-by-side racing that defines NASCAR and the Pinty’s Series.”
When the second leg of the Ohsweken Speedway doubleheader gets underway, it will mark the 200th event in NASCAR Pinty’s Series history.
The series will look to build off of a strong 2022 campaign, where the Canadian-based circuit had a record-tying eight different winners, three first-time winners, and an average field size of 23.6 cars, the highest since 2013.
All events will be streamed live on TSN and RDS, with official streaming schedules and start times set to be announced at a later date.
