INDIANAPOLIS — After scoring his first Indy NXT pole in Friday’s qualifying session, Matteo Nannini parlayed that into a dominating victory at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

The Italian led all 35 laps in his No. 75 Juncos Hollinger Racing machine but had to hold off a closing Louis Foster in the final few laps, winning by only .3909 seconds. Fellow front row starter Hunter McElrea finished fourth behind Kyffin Simpson.

The race was relatively straightforward with the only controversy coming after the race start was waved off twice. Points leader Christian Rasmussen now leads the points by 18 over Nolan Siegel. Rasmussen finished fifth while Seigel was 13th.
