17-year old Sam Mayer took home all of the hardware during a double-header ARCA Menards Series weekend at Toledo Speedway.

Mayer, a Wisconsin native, followed up his first-career ARCA win from Friday with a victory in Sunday’s rain shortened Menards 200.

The race looked to be Ty Gibbs’ to lose, but the driver of the No. 18 car lost control and spun on a lap 120 restart.

Mayer assumed the lead and held the point for the next seven laps, when rain stopped the action. The race, which was originally scheduled for Saturday but was delayed until Sunday for rain, was called with Mayer out front.

Chandler Smith finished runner-up, Bret Holmes was third, while Michael Self and Derek Griffith rounded out the top-five finishers.

Gibbs, who has three wins in seven starts this season in the ARCA Menards Series, finished a disappointing 10th after the spin.
