Fast Track Racing is bringing on 18-year-old E.J. Tamayo to drive the No. 01 in five ARCA Menards Series East races in 2025, beginning at Five Flags Speedway on March 22.

Tamayo will also drive for the team at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (May 3), Flat Rock Speedway (May 17), Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park (July 25), Iowa Speedway (August 1), and ending with the season-finale at Bristol Motor Speedway (September 11).

Tamayo will be securing sponsorship from Amici Engineering Contracts, as well as additional support from Halley Engineering Contractors, Tamayo Sports Florida, and The Isern Tamayo Family Foundation for his No. 01 entry.

Ethan Hutchens has been appointed as crew chief for all five of Tamayo’s starts.

The Miami, Florida native made his ARCA Menards Series debut last season for Tamayo Cosentino Racing, co-owned by fellow ARCA Menards Series teammate at Fast Track Racing, Tony Cosentino at Elko Speedway, driving to a 6th-place effort.

Tamayo has been competing in the Carolina Pro Late Model Series since 2021, with seven career top fives and 15 top 10s across four part-time seasons. He previously competed in go-karting events starting at the age of 10 at AMR Homestead Miami Motorplex track.

“After a great result at Elko last year, I feel that we can carry that momentum into the new season and have solid results,” said Tamayo in a press release. “I am excited to be racing with Fast Track at Five Flags. I want to thank my sponsors for their continued support and my team for their commitment to me and to our program.”

Andy Hillenburg, the owner of Fast Track Racing, expressed excitement about bringing Tamayo into the program for 2025.

“It’s always exciting to bring young kids into our program, and after watching EJ last year, I’m sure it will be a fun season, I look for a few great finishes with E.J. and hope to help him move up the racing ladder towards accomplishing his goals.”

The Pensacola 150 at Five Flags Speedway will air live on Flo Racing on March 22.
