Michael Klein will make his debut in the ARCA Menards Series at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park (LOIRP) on July 25, driving the No. 0 for Wayne Peterson Racing.

Klein has been competing part-time in the INEX Legend Car Series, as well as running quarter-midgets on asphalt and pavement since 2018. The driver also has extended his ventures into sports car racing in the ChampCar Road Racing Series.

“I’m excited to announce I will be competing with Wayne Peterson Racing in the ARCA Menards Series at Indianapolis Raceway Park on July 25th,” said Klein in a Facebook post. “I can’t thank Wayne and all my partners enough for giving me this opportunity. I’ll be working on getting seat time through the summer in sports cars and late models to help prepare me for this event.”

United Garage Door Company, Drive For Humanity, Happiness Is Courage, and Grateful Dogs will be supporting Klein in his series debut this Summer.

The native of Elsmere, Kentucky has volunteered as a crew member for several ARCA Menards Series teams in recent years and recently tested an ARCA car in 2023 at Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina for Rise Motorsports.

The No. 0 Chevrolet, a second entry for Wayne Peterson Motorsports, was piloted earlier in the season by Brayton Laster, who finished 24th in the season-opening Ride The ‘Dente 200 after a crash exiting the tri-oval.

Klein proudly stands as a representative of the LGBTQ+ community, aligning with other notable competitors like Zach Herrin, Stephen Rhodes, and Terri O’Connell who have also made their mark in all of the four NASCAR touring series representing the community.

The Circle City 150 Presented By Dutch Boy at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park will air live on FS1 at 5:30 pm EST.
