Carson Brown, a 16-year-old racer from New London, North Carolina, is set to make his ARCA Menards Series debut this weekend at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. The driver will pilot the No. 4 Chevrolet for Hettinger Racing with primary sponsorship from ebb Logistics and PayCafe.

Brown, who says he has always been impressed with the quality of the cars from Hettinger Racing, is proud to be driving for the organization, and after a recent test, he feels tuned up and ready for his ARCA East debut.

“I’ve known Chris Hettinger for a while and have always been impressed with the race cars he puts together. We’ve talked about making this happen, and now we finally did it,” Brown said in a team press release. “We tested last week and it went really well, and I feel confident in what we’ve got for Saturday at Five Flags. It’s a track where I’ve spent a lot of time and have had a good amount of success, and being able to take this next step with Hettinger Racing makes it even better.”

The young racer started his racing career in Bandoleros five years ago. After 21 victories over a two-year span, Brown moved on to Legend Cars. Over the following three seasons, Brown captured eight championships.

The versatility of Brown was tested as he extended to the dirt racing world, driving winged, and non-winged 600cc Micro Sprint Cars, where he captured two victories over 56 starts.

It is that incredible versatility, that Brown has showcased, that caught the eye of Hettinger Racing.

“Carson is a talented young driver, and everything finally lined up for him to be with us this weekend at Five Flags,” team owner Chris Hettinger said. “What makes Carson stand out is his versatility. He’s won in Pro and Super Late Models, shown speed on road courses, has raced and won dirt – he’s fast in anything he drives. That kind of experience is really going to help him as he takes this next step, and we’re proud that it’s going to be with Hettinger Racing.”

Brown’s past success at Five Flags Speedway includes capturing the Allen Turner Pro Late Model Championship last season. Prior to this weekend’s debut, the young phenom previously made his Super Late Model debut at Cordele Motor Speedway on January 17, and he followed the debut there up with two victories during the World Series of Asphalt from February 7-15 at New Smyrna Speedway.
