Inspection Complete: Ryan Blaney Officially Wins Playoff Race at Martinsville; Championship 4 Set

After the buttoning up of post-race inspection from Martinsville Speedway, we now officially know which four drivers will compete for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series championship at Phoenix Raceway.

Ryan Blaney, who scored the victory Sunday in the No. 12 Discount Tire Ford Mustang, was cleared after rolling through post-race inspection after the race, meaning he is the official winner of the Xfinity 500.

The victory marks his third of the season in the NASCAR Cup Series, and the 10th of his career. Plus, his victory at the half-mile paperclip, ensures that he will be part of the Championship 4.

According to NASCAR, there were no major issues discovered in post-race technical inspection, meaning the finishing results and point standings distributed by the sanctioning body are now deemed official.

Kyle Larson (6th), Christopher Bell (7th), and William Byron (13th) all either scored victories earlier in the ‘Round of 8’, or earned enough points in the three-race stretch to lock themselves into the Championship 4.

Denny Hamlin (3rd), Chris Buescher (8th), Martin Truex, Jr. (12th), and Tyler Reddick (26th) were eliminated from championship contention, just one race short of the season-finale.
