Ryan Blaney will have a new look on his No. 12 Team Penske Ford Mustang for this weekend’s HighPoint.com 400 at Pocono Raceway, as he’ll have the Advance Auto Parts colors, and will be promoting the Speed Perks program.

While the sides of the car this weekend will look virtually the same as the paint scheme Blaney drove at Martinsville Speedway in the spring, the yellow hood, with red striping accenting will be a new wrinkle to the design.

The Speed Perks program ties in-store savings at Advance Auto Parts with gas rewards at Shell stations nationwide. According to a press release from Advance Auto Parts, new Speed Perks members, who sign up this weekend, will receive $5 off of their $20 purchase online or in-store. And for every $50 spent at Advance through August 16th, Speed Perks members will save 20 cents per gallon at participating Shell gas stations.

For Blaney, heading to Pocono Raceway is always special for a bevy of reasons. For one, he is close to his family in Ohio when he visits the facility in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. But another special thing about the trip is that it reminds him of his first NASCAR Cup Series victory, which occurred at the 2.5-mile triangular speedway back in 2017.

“I’ve enjoyed it,” Blaney said of Pocono Raceway in a Ford release. “Obviously, I got my first win there a while back, so it’s always special when you go back to the places where you get your first wins. My family’s not too far from there – where my dad grew up, so there are just a lot of special memories. I made my first quarter-midget start at the dirt track outside of the racetrack. There are a lot of cool things about that, so I look forward to going there. The crowd is usually really great, too. It’s always nice to go back to tracks where you have good memories.”

Blaney sits seventh in the NASCAR Cup Series regular-season championship standings with six races remaining until the start of the Playoffs. Blaney has one win, four top-five finishes, and 10 top-10s this season. He’ll look to add an additional piece of hardware this weekend while piloting the black, red, and yellow Advance Auto Parts machine.
