Inspection Complete: Ty Gibbs Officially Wins at Phoenix, Clinches 2022 Xfinity Series Title (Pending Engine Teardown)

Post-race inspection following Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series season-finale at Phoenix Raceway is complete.

Ty Gibbs’s race-winning No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota GR Supra has passed all aspects of post-race inspection, meaning Gibbs is the official winner of the final Xfinity Series race of the year and has been named the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion.

There were no major issues discovered in post-race inspection, meaning that all race results and point standings distributed by NASCAR are now deemed, official.

The No. 54 had one loose lug nut, which will result in a monetary fine for Chris Gayle.

The results of the championship standings are all pending engine teardown, which will take place on Sunday.
