Carson Hocevar has been so fast since breaking his tibia at WWT Raceway a couple of weeks ago. The trend continued on Friday at Knoxville Raceway as the driver of the No. 42 Niece Motorsports entry was fastest in final practice for Saturday night’s Clean Harbors 150.

Hocevar clicked off a lap of 23.508 sec., which equates to a 72.510 mph lap around the 0.500-mile dirt track.

Chandler Smith, who drives the No. 18 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota Tundra, was second fastest with a lap that was 0.183 sec. shy of Hocevar’s fast speed.

Matt Crafton, Colby Howard and Ben Rhodes, who paced opening practice, rounded out the top-five fastest in final practice.

Ty Majeski, Hailie Deegan — the Dirt Princess — Todd Gilliland, Brett MOffitt and Tyler Ankrum ranked sixth through 10th in the session.

Next up for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers and teams are the four Heat Races that will take place on Saturday at 7:00 PM ET.
